Amit Kumar Mohapatra is a Lead Engineer at Freshworks with over a decade of experience building software solutions for businesses. He is a highly enthusiastic team player and a deep creative thinker. Amit has a strong background in Object-Oriented Programming and is well-versed in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle. He has extensive experience with design patterns such as singleton, factory, strategy, decorator, and template. Amit is an expert in Agile processes and has served as a Scrum Master in the past. In his current role at Freshworks, Amit is responsible for breaking an existing monolith into microservices as part of the supply chain planning team. He has experience with Airflow orchestrator for job pipelining and scheduling, multi-tenant scheduling using Spring Boot Quartz, and elastic search multi-tenancy. He is also experienced in Spring Cloud Zipkin and Sleuth with event-driven architecture. Amit has created a managed Kafka cluster on Azure insight and has an understanding of Azure Cosmos DB. He has used Java-8, Spring-Boot, Kafka, Azure, Cosmos, and MySQL technologies to create these microservices. Prior to Freshworks, Amit worked as a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Oracle, where he was responsible for developing AI and ML Cognitive Services on OCI cloud. He designed and developed multi-tenant AI and ML dockerized microservices, including Named-entity recognition, Key-Phrase Extraction, Topic modeling, and Language detection services on OCI gen2 infrastructure. Amit has experience in implementing BERT language model and deep learning and has designed custom tools for train data validation and fixing data label. He is also experienced in cloud security, cloud data storage, cloud authentication, cloud logging, metering, and other cloud services. Amit has integrated MLflow tool for ML and AI lifecycle and designed benchmarking tools to compare his AI and ML services performance with competitors. He also has experience in Gatling and FastApi. Amit has a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Odisha.
